Surf School

Aljezur, Portugal.

The project ́s location is important to understand this in its complexity. The coastal fishing village in Portugal is inside a protected natural park, where the wild nature open to the Atlantic Ocean is predominant. The two buildings are proposed in both ends of the beach in order to reactivate the transits in the village. The materiality of the proposal connects the buildings with the local resources and is at the same time intended to dissolve the architecture in the landscape.

The hostel building is divided in several volumes adjusting to the size of the existing houses. The surf school outside of the village grid adapts a more flexible geometry and proposes a tour through the building and at the same time that descends to the seashore.
